Look how cute my friend Katie is. God obviously brought her a nice man. Be sure to read the article about them too!

Then go tell her how much she rocks.

Missing Out
March 28, 2006 · Leave a Comment
March is pretty much gone and that just blows me away!
I had a blast when my Aunt and Uncle were here. I felt like we were going the whole time. It was nice to spend time with them and I'm glad that got to see Houston and meet some of my friends.
I've totally missed out on two good party nights lately. Friday night (I think) Mike was bugging me to drive into town and party with him. I thought about it and decided just to turn in early. (I actually ended up talking on the phone to a few friends.) Well, turns out the group ended up at the Motley Crue after party. I missed it!
As if that wasn't enough, Rob spent last night at the Flying Saucer with Oasis. I'm still jealous. Plus, I missed their show tonight because I was working! Yuck. Oh well…Thursday night I'm going to party with Death Cab For Cutie, Franz Ferdinand and a few thousand of my closest friends. And I'm having my own Oasis time in my room right now. When was the last time you rocked out to Oasis?
Last night was Champagne and Chocolate night with Brendy. I had a blast. We laughed, we cried, we sang, and we pigged out on ice cream. Good stuff.
And that's all the blog I have for now. I'm sleepy and I have a good book calling my name.

I have the best friends…ever. The kind of friends who laugh at you after you've had one too many Margaritas and tell you they love you when you have a pouty drunk face.

Something Like Love
March 22, 2006 · Leave a Comment
And they'd sit in the trees and they'd talk thru the night
While the blind moon swam in the pale starry light
And they talked and they crowed and they told what they knew
It was better than beer, it was all strange and new
There was grass all around, there was black up above
It was more than hello, it was something like love
And I don't know why life, it seems to be
So hard for dreamers like you and me
When love is, love is, love is everywhere

Bob F-ing Schneider…and other stuff
March 17, 2006 · Leave a Comment
He was amazing. Simply amazing. Right now, he has my heart. Seriously…I'm going to every show within 150 miles…and some in Austin. Of course, true to J-Dub's mantra, I was in the front row. I danced my butt off last night! Of course I'm exhausted today and my meningitis has flared up, but well worth it.
We had a nice size crowd at The Mucky Duck and I will go back…for sure. Mike, Ace, Ilan, Sophie, Tim, Erin, Tony, Jules, Ken..and several other people who I met after I started drinking. (I don't remember their names.) It was a blasty blast. I can't even put into words how great it was. Let me say this. This morning when my father asked me how the show was, I told him that it was better than U2. Yes. Better. If that isn't a shinning endorsement from me, what is?
After the show Mike and I grabbed some Taco Bell. I ran in there to pee. It was the best pee I've had in a really long time. I had to pee about the time Bob sang his second song, but I didn't want to give up my spot on the front row. I normally don't mention urination, but this was a great one, trust me. After some tacos we washed Mike's Audi. Then we met up at The Wet Spot with Jules and Tony. I had a fab time. Jules is great! I'd met Tony once before but it was ages ago. They are such a great couple! (I'm commenting on this because they are newlyweds.) They live in this townhouse that looks out at the Downtown skyline. It is right across the street from The Wet Spot so we were able to enjoy ourselves there and walk them back home.
I managed to roll back home around 1ish. That is pretty early for a night of going out. I crashed in bed (with my Dixie Belle) before starting the day early to hang out with my Aunt and Uncle. We toured the Johnson Space Center and then showed them around The Strand in Galveston. It was just a nice day. I'm glad they are here and I'm sad that tomorrow is our last full day with them. It should be a good one though. College Station to hit up the George H.W. Bush Library and the Dixie Chicken. Then it is off to The Rodeo for Rodeo Finals night.

Ohmygosh! Bob Schneider is tomorrow and I'm so excited. I'm seriously jumping off the walls. Candace, Ilan, Sophie, Mike, Tim, Erin and I are going. It is going to be a blast. The show is at the Mucky Duck. I've never been there but Erin said I'd like it. I've heard so many mixed things about the venue that I think it really depends on the artist playing. Rolling Stone said it is one of the top twenty live music venues in the nation. That is pretty pimp.
I've had so many thoughts I've debated blogging about lately. But the important stuff I've talked about with friends in my life and the unimportant stuff doesn't seem like it is worth my time to blog. Oh well. I'll leave you with this…because I think it's funny…and cool.

What I’m up to for the next week…
March 13, 2006 · Leave a Comment
My Aunt and Uncle will be here for a visit tomorrow! I can't wait. I'm so freaking excited about them coming to see us. We really don't even have all that much planned for when they are going to be here. It will just be nice to see them, show them around town and hang out. Pictures will follow, for sure. Rodeo Finals are on Saturday and we have pretty decent seats.
If you could only show people from New York one thing in Houston, what would it be?

I’ve thought about all these wonderful things to write about lately. Frankly, I just don’t feel like writing. People, in general, are pissing me off. My writing would end up being a huge rant and I just don’t feel like doing that. The mere thought of it depresses me.
Still thinking about the whole Lutheran thing.
All is well in my life. I finally finished painting my room, the puppies continue to cause trouble, and my Aunt and Uncle will be here in less than a week.
